The above website doesn't exist. The title is fictional. This novel is an adventurous tale of a 12 year old boy who lives in the town of Springfield in Ohio, USA. He has started to learn how to read at 3 years old, but by 7th grade he was still only at the level of a 5 year-old reading second-grade materials. He feels frustrated and useless because he can't keep up with all the schoolwork and studies required for such a young age, until this happens: One day when his teacher asks him what he wants to be when his parents eventually bring him out into the world, he tells her "I want to be like you. I want to teach when I grow up." He knows by "teach", she means "teacher", and she doesn't believe him when he adds, "I'll teach elementary school like you." But he ends up turning out exactly as he plans. He goes off to college at age 13, gets his PhD, becomes an academic superstar at Ohio State University where he is one of the youngest professors in history. He does not have any social life until Professor McGonagall takes an interest in him, and eventually marries him after she encourages him to start taking hormone suppressants to delay puberty. Eventually they have three children. He has a great time teaching his students, achieving rapid promotions, and living an ideal life. He is not introduced to the idea of being a genius until he gets to college at age 13, whereupon he meets an enigmatic genius from Russia named Alexander Ivanoff who has been hired as a mathematics professor at Ohio State University. Ivanoff attempts to draw him out and find out what he knows, but eventually tells him "I don't know how you discovered this so young, but you have a talent I have never seen before. You are a genius." Voronoff takes the boy under his wing and helps him perpetually puzzle out new things all the way through graduate school (he was only 7 years old when he started his PhD program). Eventually he has four PhDs, six MS degrees, and three bachelor degrees. The book covers the period from when he was born until he is 45 years old. He goes on to become a tenured professor at Ohio State University, where he teaches full-time while doing research in his field. But he suffers terrible bouts of mental illness throughout his life, including depression and schizophrenia. He believes his sanity is being threatened by other minds reading his mind. The one thing that keeps him stable are the hormone suppressants that were started when Professor McGonagall insisted on them for medical reasons while they were married. They help tremendously with the depression, but still leave him with bouts of delusions that people are reading his mind everywhere he goes. He is not allowed on campus without his medication, and he is rarely allowed to leave the house unless accompanied by someone else. Eventually, after his wife dies of cancer, he is accepted to a study program in which he has three months to live on an isolated island by himself. He believes the reason that he was single-handedly able to do all this while simultaneously teaching full-time and doing his own research was because of this: Vladimir Voronoff lived on an isolated island for three months. He discovered that some people who were alone on the island had nothing better to do than read his mind so they could see how smart I was... Because they wanted me for my brain... cfa1e77820
